About the Author, Lisa Waldo
Adventures on Peaceful Mountain taught me the invaluable lesson of never giving up on one’s dreams. Fifteen years ago, while rocking my youngest child to sleep in the wee hours of the night, the idea of chronicling our family’s journey in a children’s book came to me.
Growing up in the serene Scottish countryside and later raising my children amidst the majestic Colorado mountains fostered a deep connection to nature and its endless adventures. The things that make my heart happy: creating treasured memories with my family, serving as a doula, skiing bumps on a fresh powder day, hiking with my pups, biking, long ocean swims, and capturing life’s joyful moments through my camera lens.
May this book inspire you to play in nature and to keep running after your dreams.
About the Illustrator, Lana
Lana grew up on Long Island where she spent her days sketching, making greeting cards, and playing outdoors. Now she lives in Colorado with her husband, two spirited little ones, and lovable pup, where she owns and operates Lana’s Shop, a popular stationery and illustration boutique for clients around the globe. Her work has been featured in Vogue, Real Simple, Martha Stewart and The Washington Post. Adventuring in the mountains with her family is Lana’s greatest joy and why she felt so drawn to illustrate Lisa’s book. Lana hopes her hand paintings will bring you delight and smiles.
